I bought a used PlayStation 2 for my child's Christmas gift, assuming I could find an old console edition of Minecraft that he could use with it. Oops, I should've done my homework!!! No such official edition exists.
My search engine did bring me to [ps2minecraft.net](ps2minecraft.net), a website which claims to offer a brand new, free edition of minecraft for PS2. The instructions say that if I fill out a short survey, the files will begin downloading. Saitek cyborg 3d windows 10. It turns out to be a marketing survey requiring my personal information. Super annoying, but I do it. Nothing downloads. So it was a scam, too good to be true. I am annoyed at myself for falling for it.
If anyone else here has tried this and it actually worked for you, please share. Otherwise, I have a PS2 for sale.

PS2 is from over a decade ago, it came out in March, 2000. Thats really old. AOL dialup was still the way of getting on the internet. Minecraft did not even exist yet, since it only came out in 2010ish. 10 years later. Minecraft is a relatively new game.

There is nothing at all that will get it to play on the old console. No one makes new PS2 games anymore. That said there are LOTS of fun games for the ps2 but they are going to be 16 years old and you will have to buy them off ebay and from other people, it has no online play or online downloads because its from the early internet times. Do not try to download anything off the internet for it because it doesnt exist. • Run a scan with MBAM in addition to the anti virus program of your choice (I like Avira) • Get Minecraft on the PC (all the console versions are total crap, official or otherwise) • On that PlayStation 2, get the kid the Sly Cooper games, Ratchet & Clank if you reckon he's old enough (or for yourself), Wipeout Fusion or Pulse if you like racing games where you can blow your friends up, and/or Gran Turismo if you prefer racing games with real cars. The PlayStation 2 was a fantastic console, and I'm sorry the game you wanted isn't available for it, but you deserve a good start with it, so I recommended a few of the best games it had (there's a lot more). It's also one of the easiest consoles to softmod, if homebrew's your thing.
Even with all of these complaints, something about this game often put a smile on my face. The last story dolphin.

All you need is a empety disk, a PS2, a pc, an usb-drive, usb-extreme (only downloadable on the internet), a minecraft for PS2 (this is not official made from mojang but it can be settet controls from an other official minecraft)(only downloadable from the internet).
