The built-in Windows 10 webcam drivers operate the camera correctly. And I used Skype as a test application. So, I don't need the LifeCam software. And by the way, I've been using Cortana with my LifeCam HD 3000 and it works pretty well. It feels odd not to have a generic webcam app built into Windows 10 for testing webcams. Perhaps Skype has taken over that role?
